Part of life at Oxford and Cambridge is the collegiate experience. Originally, Oxford and Cambridge colleges where places of learning where young men lived, studied, ate and even prayed together under the same roof, in a spirit of fellowship.
At Chavagnes we follow the same tradition. Every day during your revision course you will take lunch and dinner with your tutors in a formal setting, enjoy the fellowship of others who share your ambitions, and also have the chance to spend a few moments in quiet reflection or prayer each day in the College’s beautiful chapel.
Our dining is particularly good, because an army marches on its stomach; even an intellectual army. We’ll be serving you proper 4-course meals, as befits our Anglo-French establishment. And, of course, delicious fresh croissants and coffee every morning. “Bon appetit!”
Just to get you fully in the mood for the Oxford and Cambridge life, and to get your blood flowing faster to your brain, we’ll be offering early morning rowing lessons too.
As you can see, a week at Chavagnes will be enough to get you feeling really confident about the Oxbridge admissions process, and also even more enthusiastic about going to a university where learning is a really serious business, where there are fewer time-wasters and where tradition is respected. And just in case, despite all the best laid plans of mice and men, you don’t get a place, then one of our after-dinner speakers has some words of advice for you to fall back on later, with a talk entitled “My successful life as an Oxbridge reject.”
A week at the Chavagnes OPC is not just a revision week; it’s a holiday. And with all the hard work you’ll be doing, you deserve it. So treat yourself!
